Assignment Description For this assignment I had to pick a category or subject to take pictures of while using different photography techniques. For this week I chose to take photos of nature.
Editing For editing I just cropped the left side and the top a little bit to get rid of excess space. Summary
During this assignment I learned that the way I like pictures of plants and nature is so that the background is blurred and the subject is sharp and in focus. I also learned that photos of nature and plants look best when they are a bit more up close so you can see all the details in the plant.

Assignment Description For this assignment I had to find something interesting to make into a panoramic photo. When I found my subject I had to take around five pictures of that subject, overlapping each picture by 1/3. Then I had to put the photos into photoshop and merge them together to make a panoramic photo. Summary
For this assignment I learned how to use a tripod to get all the pictures to be at the same level. I also learned how to use photoshop to merge the photos together to make them into one long photo, or a panoramic. I also learned that to merge the photos into one photo, when you take the photos you have to overlap them by 1/3. assignment description For this assignment I had to choose a type of photography and what my subject would be. I chose to do macro and to take pictures of plants and objects up close. I chose to do this because I really wanted to be able to get a picture close enough to show all the details in the subject.
Summary
For this assignment I learned how to choose a good subject to show up close. I really wanted to show a bit of texture and things with a lot of detail. During this assignment I learned that sometimes you have to use the flash to get the texture to show when you're so close to the subject. Sometimes when you're that close it can cast a shadow of the camera onto the subject. I also learned that to make the photo interesting you have to find a subject that would be interesting up close. Description For this assignment we had to pick a category to take pictures of, and I chose people. Within the category you choose you had to incorporate different techniques we learned about. So in these photos I tried to use depth of fields, rule of thirds and incorporating nature and color.
Editing For editing all I did was crop the top and sides a little bit. Summary
For this assignment I really wanted to capture my subject in nature and while being themselves. I learned that it is best to explore the different angles of lighting and change the direction your subject is standing in the light. Its also good to get the subject looking in different directions to have their focus away from the camera. Assignment description For this assignment, we had to use a photo that was taken right from the camera, and we had to use photoshop to retouch the photo to get rid of what wasn't needed, and to focus in on the subject, the car. Within photoshop we had to use the crop tool, the stamp tool, the selection tool, and the paint brush tool. What I Learned
During this assignment I learned how to navigate photoshop better. Within photoshop I learned how to use the stamp tool to cover up little imperfections in the image. I also learned how to use the selection tool to select a piece of the image to either only change that part, or to change something around it. The last thing I learned how to use in photoshop is the paint brush tool and how I can use it to cover a large space of area with one color. I also used the eraser tool to erase things I may have covered up on accident. For my second assignment I hope to take photos of people. Within shooting people I want to capture them outdoors and in nature. I really want to play with colors and how they will make the subject look. I also hope to play with rule of thirds, depth of field, and possibly lines. Here are some of the photos I will use as my inspiration.
Assignment description For this assignment we had to pick a subject to take photos of out of a category of different subjects such as nature, people, animals, and architecture. f-stop 5.6 , Shutter speed 1/100 , ISO 400 Editing For editing all I did was cropped the image a little bit on the bottom and sides. Assignment Summary
During this assignment I learned that to get the most interesting picture you may have to take a picture of the same thing from different angles. It depends on how the building is structured of where it will look the best from. Some buildings might look when the perspective of it is looking upwards at it, or maybe from the side. The building might even look the best when it is just a specific piece or part of the building. Assignment Description For this assignment we had to take a picture, put it into photoshop and crop it to a square image. We then had to unsharpen the image and adjust the threshold to make an interesting black and white photo. We then arranged the photos in photoshop as one in each corner on a blank canvas. The next step we did was to change the hue and saturation for each photo. For the hue of the photos, it was different for every photo to create a different color. For every photo we set the saturation to 100, and the lightness to 55. What I Learned
During this assignment I learned how to arrange photos in photoshop as different layers. I also learned how to make the photo look less sharp. Within the different layers I learned how to make the photo look all one color and white. For the first assignment I hope to shoot architecture. Within shooting architecture I hope to capture the images with using techniques from the a previous assignment. Within these pictures I want to possibly show lines, rule of thirds, pattern, and symmetry.

In the last one with 1/1000 of a second shutter speed I was trying to show the stop motion and having all her hair and hand freeze in place. --During this assignment I learned how shutter speed works with motion and how different a picture can look with an adjusted shutter speed. With a slower shutter speed the image showed more blur from the motion of the subject. Also with a faster shutter speed it can freeze an image and the subject in the image when in motion. Aperture--In the first photo when I used an aperture f-stop of 4.0 the main focus was on the leaf laying flat down, you can also see how the leaf closest to the camera is softer looking and a bit blurry. In the last photo with an aperture f-stop of 8.0 the main focus is still on the leaf laying flat down, but the closest leaf is a bit more in focus and has less of a softer look. --During this assignment I learned how I can use different aperture settings to show depth of field. I also learned how to focus in on one part of a photo to complement the rest of the image.
