Assignment Description For this assignment we had to take a picture, put it into photoshop and crop it to a square image. We then had to unsharpen the image and adjust the threshold to make an interesting black and white photo. We then arranged the photos in photoshop as one in each corner on a blank canvas. The next step we did was to change the hue and saturation for each photo. For the hue of the photos, it was different for every photo to create a different color. For every photo we set the saturation to 100, and the lightness to 55. What I Learned
During this assignment I learned how to arrange photos in photoshop as different layers. I also learned how to make the photo look less sharp. Within the different layers I learned how to make the photo look all one color and white.

For the first assignment I hope to shoot architecture. Within shooting architecture I hope to capture the images with using techniques from the a previous assignment. Within these pictures I want to possibly show lines, rule of thirds, pattern, and symmetry.

In the last one with 1/1000 of a second shutter speed I was trying to show the stop motion and having all her hair and hand freeze in place. --During this assignment I learned how shutter speed works with motion and how different a picture can look with an adjusted shutter speed. With a slower shutter speed the image showed more blur from the motion of the subject. Also with a faster shutter speed it can freeze an image and the subject in the image when in motion. Aperture--In the first photo when I used an aperture f-stop of 4.0 the main focus was on the leaf laying flat down, you can also see how the leaf closest to the camera is softer looking and a bit blurry. In the last photo with an aperture f-stop of 8.0 the main focus is still on the leaf laying flat down, but the closest leaf is a bit more in focus and has less of a softer look. --During this assignment I learned how I can use different aperture settings to show depth of field. I also learned how to focus in on one part of a photo to complement the rest of the image.
Assignment Description In this assignment I researched and used eleven different techniques in photos. These different techniques are used to draw in focus to a certain area or to show interest. These techniques are also to show different things together in a photo without being cluttered. During this assignment I learned about different techniques to take a good photograph. I learned how to draw interest to a certain area of a picture and how to take a balanced photograph. Within these techniques I learned how to show these techniques with a certain type of lighting or angle. I'm a sophomore at Saline High School. I dance at a studio and competitively throughout the school year. In my free time I like to spend time with my friends. In my family I have my mom and dad, and my three brothers.
I took this class because I've always loved to capture a moment and be able to look back at them. I found an interest in photography when I would see my mom taking pictures as a hobby. In my freshmen year of school I took the black and white photography class that uses film. |
